The new Advanced 62’ combines several aero-hydrodynamic and naval architecture characteristics which make it a genuinely innovative sailing yacht. It is fast, responsive, fun yet easy to sail, safe, comfortable, with plenty of space and volume, both inside and outside.
The design was developed using the very latest yacht design technologies and the most advanced tools available in the field, such as parametric CAD and a naval architecture software suite developed over 25 years of America’s Cup design, including a very powerful V.P.P. programme used in 5 America’s Cup campaigns. This allowed a large number of potential design candidates to be tested, with the result that the final design was developed and optimized to an unprecedented level for the waterlines of a commercial craft.
