The Class 40 has been one of the most successful box rule fleets of recent years, capable of racing fully crewed (typically 3-5 persons) in classic events such as the Fastnet, Bermuda Race, as well as short-handed racing.

The monohulls are high-performance racing boats, whilst also built to be seaworthy to safely sail across the Atlantic. Now with more than 160 boats, the Class has become the most successful offshore racing class.
