Post 1918, servicemen came back to a very different world: The Yachtsman magazine declared that there was simply no longer enough sailing to justify publication. In February 1919 William Burton (now OBE) presided over the AGM of the Yacht Racing Association (YRA) where the main business seemed to be marking the names of the dead with due respect.
