This column is written for the benefit of anyone who wants to be a coach, or who is thinking about engaging some coaching help to improve their own or their children's sailing. For quite a few years I have been trying to unravel the mystery of 'really' good coaching. In sailing coaching is still not as widespread or accepted as it is in other sports.
