Pacy new world...

Randall Pittman knew exactly what he wanted when he went to Dubois Naval Architects for an outrageous new first-to-finish supermaxi. Ed Dubois and Malcolm McKeon explain how they are doing their best to meet his expectations.

From the outset all the discussion was of a flat-out racing yacht - a large monohull capable of both inshore and offshore racing to a competitive level.

The 'form' raceboat designers were certainly considered but without any prompting from ourselves we were asked if we would like to design the vessel. Our immediate reaction was interest but also some hesitance.
