Principessa no more

After winning Lake Garda's prestigious Centomiglia for the previous two years, the Farr-designed Libera Class Principessa was finally forced to accept second best in this year's tough event behind the innovative new Clan Des Team designed by Umberto Felci.

Designing a Garda winner

Maximum possible lightness, maximum manageable performance and an innovative and reliable design were the key elements of this project. Four months of intense VPP analysis followed by four more months developing the key details were needed before construction could begin at Latini Marine.

Intensive analysis went into creating a completely new set of Libera Class hull lines, keeping the focus on the need for a good allround performer, with a polar profile basically 'parallel to' but 'outside' that of the three-year-old and now perfectly refined two-time Centomiglia winner Principessa.
