Maarten Voogd previews his company's impressive-looking and keenly priced new Max Fun 35 high-performance racer.
Philosophy
After the successful introduction of the Max Fun 25 on the Netherlands market in 2000, Dutch boatbuilders Max Fun Boats will shortly introduce the new Max Fun 35, also designed by Simonis Voogd.
The philosophy behind the Max Fun 35 is to create a very fast (displacement is just 3,000kg) and easily driven yacht - at an extremely affordable price. In an attempt not to create another racing boat designed to any specific rating rule, we have opted for a sportsboat in the true sense of the word. In fact, the Max Fun 35 has much in common with the latest style of sportscars - fast and mean on the outside but still relatively comfortable within.
