 TJ: What would you have in your mind’s eye if someone asked you for a design today?

OS: To be honest that’s just not the way I think, but I will explain something I am doing at the moment. I am working with Knight Coolidge and a publisher in Boston on the reproduction of a ‘revised’ lines plan. They asked if I would name a favourite boat and I said, considering my age and all, it would be  small. And because I like offshore racing we picked a boat called Babe. She was successful way back. They asked me to consider the changes I’d make today on a boat designed 65 years ago...
